Nepal Micro Insurance Logs Decline in Profit

Nepal Micro Insurance Company (NMIC) has published its third quarter report of the current FY.

As per the report, the company logged decline in net profit during the period.

During the period, the company earned Rs 481,000 in net profit. The net profit declined by 80.08 percent compared to Rs 2.4 million of the corresponding period of the last FY.

During the period, its net insurance premium increased by 605.74 percent and total income by 130.75 percent. Similarly, its net claim payment increased by 513.27 percent and total expenses by 146.29 percent.

During the period, it maintained EPS of Rs 0.09, net worth per share of Rs 101 and P/E ratio of 5169 times.

The company with Rs 750 million in paid-up capital has reserve fund of Rs 2.6 million, catastrophic fund of Rs 267,000, retained earning of Rs 2.2 million and other equity of Rs 18,000.
