Chief Justice of Nepal Prakash Man Singh Raut administered the oath to the newly appointed governor.
The government appointed Poudel as the Governor based on the recommendation of a selection committee headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel.
The post had remained vacant since April 7, with the end of the tenure of former governor Maha Prasad Adhikari.
