As per the interest rates notices of the banks, few banks have raised their interest rates while few have cut down the rates for the month.
Out of 17 commercial banks that have published the interest rates notice, seven have raised the rates while six have cut down the rates. In the meantime, four banks have kept the rates constant.
Himalayan Bank, Everest Bank, Nepal Investment Mega Bank, Prime Commercial Bank, Nabil Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and Nepal SBI Bank have raised the interest rates for Ashoj. Himalayan Bank has raised the interest rates by 1.064 percent point which is the highest among the banks followed by Everest Bank.
Prabhu Bank, NMB Bank, Machhapuchchhre Bank and Siddhartha Bank has continued the rates of Bhadra.
Similarly, Global IME Bank, Laxmi Sunrise Bank, Rastriya Banijya Bank, Kumari Bank, Citizens Bank and Nepal Bank has cut down the rates. Among them, Nepal Bank cut the rates with maximum point of 1.603 percent.
